An inspired teacher, coach and traveler I have 15 years of teaching English and Spanish to both first and second language learners from ages 4 to 18 years. In addition, I have over 20 years of coaching children and adults of all ages. Moreover, I opened a small private school and performed the responsibilities of a principal that provided the in depth experience of creating curriculum and collaborating with a diverse group of experienced teachers to educate a wide range of learners.

Created and continue to develop a Spanish and English curriculum and lesson plans for grades 3rd thru 8th for first and second language learners enriched with real world projects, hands on, games, songs and role play. Develop and administer exams and record grades for bi-annual report cards and conferences. Responsible for planning and organizing field trips and community service learning projects. Support and collaborate with Spanish teacher on a bi-weekly basis. On going communication with current and potential parents.

Opened and designed a bilingual curriculum for grades Pre-K thru 12th grade in all subjects. Collaborated weekly with teachers to improve the program and plan upcoming events. Director and mentor for all students. Taught English as a second language to native Spanish and German speakers ages 6 years to 16 years. Supported new and experienced teachers in lesson planning, curriculum and behavior management. Ongoing communication with parents and led bi-annual whole school parent meetings.

Full-time grade 2 classroom teacher and grade level head teacher. Differentiated lessons based on individual and group needs, especially in English in which over 60% of my students were second language learners. Collaborated with teachers, coaches and principal weekly to plan, develop, reflect and assess lessons to meet students' needs in all areas based on California Academic State Standards. Created writing wall for grade level that was used as an example for the district. Participated in extracurricular activities including being a member of the Social Committee, onsite speech contest teacher, after school program teacher for grade 2, and member of the interviewing committee.
