University of Arkansas | Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism (Dual Major in Writing and Advertising/Public Relations) | December 2018
I majored in journalism with a concentration on editorial writing as well as the ad/PR sequence. I wrote articles as a reporter for the university newspaper while taking 15 or more course hours. I was also a part of the Digital Media Lab during the fall semester of my junior year.

I excelled in English and art in high school. I maintained a position in both the National Honors Society as well as the National Art Honors Society.

EXPERIENCE
Arkansas Traveler (Weekly newspaper for the University of Arkansas) | Staff Reporter | August 2017 – August 2018
I wrote over 50 articles for The Traveler my junior year, with at least one published in print every week. At times I was working on three or four articles simultaneously.

Hobby Lobby| Customer Service Manager | July 2014 – August 2015
Beginning as a cashier, I was promoted to CSM within five months of employment. I led up to eight coworkers a shift and learned to prioritize and assign tasks to those best fit, as well as improve every customer experience.

SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Pages, and iMovie. I design art and fonts by hand and digitally. Some of my artwork can be found on Instagram at @watercolor_season.

OBJECTIVE
To obtain an entry-level marketing position at a business that supports teamwork and innovation. Aiming to use my customer service, written, creative and design skills to effectively fill the position in your company.

WRITING/DESIGN
I worked as the graphic design editor of my high school newspaper senior year, then wrote for The Traveler as a Lifestyles reporter my junior year. I learned to work with other writers and designers, compromising and keeping each other informed so as to ensure the quality of each edition printed.
