I N T E R N S H I P S

Summer Internships 5/20-8/20
Virtual Summer Nutrition Intern for Lesli Stiles. Lesli Stiles is a registered dietician in Chicago apart of The Family Dieticians. The field experience contributed to my professional literacy, pediatric nutrition knowledge, early intervention programs, feeding disorders, and private business affairs. While engaged in the field experience the main activities that I participated in were virtual patient meetings, lectures, readings, case studies, presentations and writing assignments. I provided another prospective when it came to patient solutions. I discussed many patients with Ms. Stiles and together we were able to exchange ideas on how to best serve the patient and their family. I also created many handouts such as the don't be afraid of carbs handout, calcium is more than dairy handout, and individual dietary recommended intakes and meal plans for infants to 18 year olds.
