Dream Defenders is a human rights organization aimed at ending police and state brutality geared towards people of
color, ending the school-to-prison pipeline, and shifting culture through transformational organizing.
Duties:
As a community organizer for Dream Defenders my role is to interact with the community through events, rallies
and co-creating with, “Free Books & Breakfast” a program that offers educational books and transformative topics
for adults and youth within the Childs Park neighborhood. Other duties include:
• Outreach and support to families and victims affected by police violence.
• Canvassing and phone banking support for Amendment 4- Rights Restoration campaign.
• Aiding support with Dream Defender’s, “Education Unchained” campaign.

About:
The Freshet Collective is a grassroots legal defense team to aid individuals arrested for their involvement at
Standing Rock. The collective works with several partner groups to educate and train within grassroots movements
as well as provide resources, educational materials on legal rights, anti-repression, security, and practice solidarity in
surrounding communities.
Duties:
As a contractor of the Freshet Collective I provided support to the Water Protector arrestees awaiting trial. I assisted
with organizing court dates, court stand-ins, speaking to all walks of life in large groups, and touring throughout the
states giving workshops about anti-repression to different organizations and communities.
