The DIGITrack is a diagnostic tool designed to be used by physicians and physical therapists to assess the severity of hand injuries and rehabilitation progress by recording and quantifying finger digit position.
o Created MATLab code using inverse kinematics to determine the exact positioning of a patient’s fingers.
o Helped team develope a safe and comfortable attachment/adhesion solution for the DIGITrack Device.
o Conducted market research interviews and developed product user requirements for DIGITrack system.
o Constructed the DIGITrack prototype and developed design specifications.
o Designed and executed verification and validation tests for the DIGITrack system and subsystems.
o Presented the product design during design reviews.
The Supinator, Chicago, IL, U.S. Aug. 2015 – Dec. 2015
Design/Implementation Engineering Manager, Supinator Team
Member of the Supinator product development team. The Supinator is a physical rehabilitation device designed to enable patients with impaired hand(s) to pronate or supinate.
o Conducted interviews with patients and physical therapists to determine how the Supinator device can benefit their recovery and how it can improve.
o Used interviews data to develop product user requirements and initial risk profile.
o Fabricated the Supinator prototype to determine if product design meet user need requirements.
o Designed and implemented an open-source Supinator Wikipedia site for patients to share and discuss the fabrication of their own Supinator device.
