My name is Stephanie Cordero I will be graduating this year (December
2019) from College of the Canyons as a double major with my AS in
Administration of Justice and Liberal Arts and Sciences. I also currently hold
a position with the LAPD in Van Nuys by serving as a Minor Decoy. I have a
strong willed passion for Criminal Justice and hope to further my knowledge.

Recreation Leader

January 2018 - Present
As a recreation leader my duties have varied, for instance I've worked with
people of all ages. I've worked community events, after school programs with
children, and a national soccer center. At the soccer center my duties
included; setting up meeting for coaches, setting up meeting rooms,
completing accident reports for hurt players, turning on field lights and
counting and collecting money during events.

As a minor decoy my duty is to work with the VICE officers in completing a
series of undercover work in restaurants and gas stations. My job is to enter
into a restaurant and order a beer if the server serves it to me it is considered
a violation, in which the officers enter the building and fine the restaurant and
the server. Also as a minor decoy I've participated in ride a longs with the
department and hands on work.
