EXPERIENCE

Special Projects Associate, Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS)—January 2019- Present
GEMS is a NPO that has served as the nation’s leading organization for empowering commercially sexually exploited and domestically trafficked girls and young women. I am responsible for producing video content for GEMS that is used for social media, fundraising, and educational purposes. I am producing filming and editing all content, currently I am working to make a short documentary about the Education Initiative.

Farm Educator, Queens County Farm Museum—September 2018-Present
Responsible for executing field trips and workshops for classes up to 35 students of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Seasonal farm education, lessons and workshops change depending on the season. Assist in Children’s Garden upkeep and planning for the programs involved.

Editor and Social Media Associate, The Bridge Initiative, Brooklyn, NY— August 2018- Present
The Bridge is a non-profit merging art and environmental activism. I am currently editing short form teasers for social media. I am also creating other social media content, and helping to manage the Instagram account while also contributing to the production of future collaborations.

Responsible for sales and customer experience, and administrative tasks in the retail store, both individually and team-based. Chosen to represent the brand through field marketing events.

Production Intern, Years of Living Dangerously; New York, NY — Fall 2016 and Summer 2017
Assisted the production team in post-production for National Geographic documentary series which addresses issues of climate change. Responsible for assisting the team in researching and fact checking important topics, for promotional social media content in support of the program, and captioning and transcribing interview footage.

Responsible for creating weekly multimedia content consisting of writing, photography, and video, and promoting said content across social media platforms in order to boost social media engagement with the site. ACTIVITIES
New York University Tisch Special Programs, Documentary Video Production in Cuba; Havana, Cuba— Spring Semester 2017 Chosen to study in Havana, Cuba through Tisch School of the Arts in partnership with the Ludwig Foundation, the Cuban National Institute of Film and Television (ICAIC), and the University of Havana. Program included work and study in all steps of creating a documentary, from the development of ideas and research through editing and post-production.
