As a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina-Beaufort with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotions, I have a significant background in the health promotions field. As a student I had extensive coursework in the multidisciplinary areas of designing, implementing and evaluating interventions that will enable individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities to play active roles in achieving, protecting and sustaining health.
As a health promotions major, I held multiple internships including, Health & Wellness Coordinator at both my university and Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia. As an intern, I held leadership roles in planning and implementing wellness events. At my university, I planned and implemented our 6th Annual Health & Wellness Fair. While at Memorial Health, I promoted and communicated health programs involving educating drivers on road hazards and the risks associated with driving carelessly. My involvement in these various events, has allowed me to network with other public health professionals all while supporting the community as a whole. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong project management, public speaking and organizational skills, which I see as being highly important when seeking to work in the public health field.
My passion combined with my educational background and experience, prepare me to make a strong and immediate impact at your company.
