RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Las Vegas, NV (07/15/13-05/28/14): Forensic Scientist-Forensic Scientist Trainee in the Toxicology Unit of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Forensic Laboratory. Performed drug screening analysis on urine using the Enzyme Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT). Performed maintenance on EMIT instrumentation. Helped revise and rewrite the standard operating procedure for the drug analysis of urine using EMIT. Helped input older casework data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and continued to input current casework data within LIMS. Helped with the transition of the EMIT instrumentation from manual data input to LIMS data input and output. Installed and programmed Artel Pipette Tracker to enable the Artel Pipette Calibration System to Transition between manual data input and computer data input and output. Properly prepared, maintained, and organized physical and digital documentation respectively. Ordered laboratory supplies and maintained an inventory of supplies. Performed maintenance and calibrations on laboratory equipment. Prepared Quality Controls and Solutions. Maintained laboratory safety and cleanliness. Atlantic Cape Community College, Cape May, NJ (09/04/12-12/21/12): Adjunct Professor. Taught Introduction to Forensic Science: Chemistry 102. Prepared lesson plans and laboratory experiments. Prepared and graded quizzes, exams, and assignments. Introduced students to the scientific principles used in forensic science. Discussed topics including, but not limited to, the importance of properly preserving evidence and the importance of maintaining crime scene security. Mob Museum, National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, Las Vegas, NV (01/18/18-06/29/19): Crime Laboratory Coordinator of the Crime Laboratory Exhibit. Coordinated the maintenance and daily operations of the Crime Laboratory Exhibit. Educated and re-educated the general public on topics including- but not limited to- forensic science, death investigation, crime scene investigation, and criminal law. Facilitated hands on activities with the general public that included such subjects as forensic autopsy, DNA analysis, fingerprint analysis, trace analysis, forensic anthropology, and ballistics. Educated the public on the history of forensic science and organized crime respectively. Educated the public on the role of forensic science and law enforcement in dismantling organized crime. Helped establish standard operating procedures for the Crime Laboratory Exhibit. Trained Mob Museum Educators on the various subjects presented within the exhibit; the activities held within the exhibit; and the daily maintenance and operations of the exhibit. Reported and/or documented any content errors, possible improvements to the exhibit, and broken fixtures within the exhibit. Maintained a clean and organized workspace. Insomniac Events, Beverly Hills, CA (11/04/16- Present): Team Lead, Ground Control Personnel at a production event company. Functions as a first responder for event staff and guests. Acts as communication liaison among event staff, headliners, security, emergency, and medical services. Uses a two-way radio to communicate information in emergency and non-emergency situations. Ensures the general health and safety of event goers and staff by supplying water and alerting the correct personnel of any medical emergency, safety hazard, altercation, and/or violence. Assists guests with any question or concerns and directs them to the correct areas and/or personnel. General duties include- but are not limited to- reporting any activity of note; scanning for any illegal activity; identifying any person who may need help; writing reports; and assisting guests who are intoxicated, dehydrated, lost, hurt, disoriented, unconscious, and/or unresponsive. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Maintains customer relations and loss prevention.

Aftermath, Las Vegas NV (07/30/14- 06/30/2015): Supervisor and Field Technician for the Las Vegas Response Team. Responded to crime scenes, general death scenes, and accident scenes including-but not limited to-homicides, suicides, unattended deaths, and hoarding; and performed biohazard remediation and decontamination at such scenes. Performed all necessary duties assigned to a supervisor.
