INTERNSHIPS

Political Intern— The Advance Group, NYC, New York (May-August 2018)

While I was a political intern at The Advance Group, a political consulting firm based out of New York City, I interacted with many of our clients, which ranged from state senators, to local legislators. I made calls on their behalf, talked with their constituents, and attended many fundraisers for their campaigns. I gained much insight into local and state politics through one of the most rewarding summers of my life.

Race Relations in America — Transnational Institute, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (January-February 2016)

Transnational institute is an international advocacy group that works with the UN and other global organization on many pressing issues and is based in the Netherlands. I was granted the opportunity to travel to Amsterdam and work for a non-profit advocacy group that connects with the UN and other global organizations. My project was supervised by Brid Brennan, an advocate for Transnational Institute.
