Seattle Based Art Educator
I am an Art Education student currently completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art Education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I will graduate in May of 2020, obtaining my Professional Educator Licensure with the Visual Arts K-12 Endorsment in the states of Illinois and Washington. Throughout my four years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I have cultivated my skills as both an Arts Educator, and self driven Artist. During my time student teaching, I taught over 10 self written curriculum projects, incorporating fine art techniques, national and state visual art learning standards, social and emotional learning principals, social justice ideals and multi modal learning approaches. My skill range includes curriculum development, differentiated instruction, an implementation of choice based learning, ceramics (both wheel thrown and hand building), painting, drawing, printmedia and sculpture. I am looking for an opportunity where I can utilize my individualized teaching pedagogy to collaboratively engage students in both art making and learning art's principles, elements and histories.
