I am an undergraduate trilingual student studying at the University of Ottawa, with an interest of furthering my studies in law and political science. I am expressing my interest in your organization for the opportunity of a summer job starting as soon as possible until the end of August 2020 or even full time if possible. My passions lie within interactive activities, communications, community service and arts. I am hardworking, communicative, team-orientated and optimistic about the future of the younger generation.
EXPERIENCE
2016 – 2018
TEACHING HINDI, BRAMPTON SENIORS AND YOUTHS RECREATION CENTRE
In respect to my cultural background, I volunteered my time to educate young kids about their culture’s language and history. This included teaching of Hindi, religious stories and songs, and planning performances.
2016 – 2017
FRENCH FUN PROGRAM, BRAMPTON SOCCER CENTRE
Volunteering at this recreation centre in Brampton granted me the opportunity to interact with young kids and also learn from them. My responsibilities were to speak French, help the kids with their social and collaboration skills, be responsible in the environment and set an example as a role model.

MAY 2018 – JUNE 2018
ASSISTANT, PROVINCIAL ELECTIONS 2018
For a month, I worked as an assistant for the Ontario Election in Brampton, which gave me the opportunity to make connections and further develop my team working skills.

MAY 2019 – AUGUST 2019
ADMINSTRATIVE AND COMMUNICATION SERVICES, FEDERAL ELECTIONS 2019
During summer of 2019, I worked part-time with the MP Candidate of Brampton East, Ramona Singh. I gained customer service skills as I interacted with new people on a daily basis and door knocked. I gained knowledge on a politically used software called Nationbuilder and involved myself in a youth association of Brampton East supporting the conservative party.

SEPTEMBER 2019 – MID-OCTOBER 2019
PAYED CANVASSER, FEDERAL ELECTIONS 2019
For one and a half month, I worked part-time with the MP Conservative Candidate of Ottawa Centre as a payed canvasser. As I was already trained and experienced in working with the elections, they gave me the responsibility to take the lead at doors and conversing with the people.

JANUARY 2020 – MID-MARCH 2020
SALES AND MARKETING POSITION, STUDENT WORKS
While studying in my 2nd year of university, I worked part-time with Curtis Beeney who has his own business with Student Works. The position allowed me to enhance my communication skills by selling their products (Gutter cleaning, painting and sidings) and setting up estimates and leads for the customers.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, EAGLE PLAINS PUBLIC SCHOOL
During the first few years of my academic life, I began my journey with the language French by joining the French immersion program. I also became involved in school activities such as performances, library helper, talent show and a member of the All Starz Dance group.
SEPTEMBER 2011
MIDDLE SCHOOL, EARNSCLIFFE PUBLIC SCHOOL
As I continued French immersion, I participated in the Wizard of Oz play while maintaining an honor roll. In addition to my grade 8 year, I created my own business of home decors with a partner which received many good feedbacks and profits.

HIGH SCHOOL, L’ÉCOLE SECONDAIRE JEUNE SANS FRONTIÈRES
Coming from an English-speaking background, I applied and tested to join a Francophone board which accepted me for my high school years. I participated in the talent show, volunteer opportunities and multicultural shows while ending my 4 years off with honor roll.

I am currently studying at the University of Ottawa and a determined student of the juris doctor program. I aspire to open my own law firm as a bilingual corporate lawyer and serve the less fortunate.

ACTIVITIES
I am a very strong believer of giving back to the community whether that be by my artistic talents such as singing and dancing, food shelters, volunteering opportunities or even a listening ear at a senior’s home. I enjoy debates and arguments as I love to persuade people which helped me in winning a persuasive speech in school based on vegetarianism. I can assure you I will put my best foot forward by giving you my commitment and working hard towards your work environment.
