I am a recently graduated senior from the University of Texas at Austin, and I am writing with great enthusiasm to apply for the Digital Marketing Internship at OneAffiniti.
I believe that I am a strong candidate for this position because of my unwavering curiosity and passion for the art of storytelling. I am most excited by the fact that my personal values uncannily parallel that of OneAffiniti � integrity, innovation, and most importantly, commitment to excellence with the client at the center.
At the University of Texas at Austin, I chose to major in Advertising. My course work has granted me with significant knowledge of and exposure to all channels of advertising. In addition, I completed the business foundations program that gave me insight to the business aspects of marketing a management. Through my studies I have learned the basics of market research, strategic planning, and media but would love the opportunity to continue my career in digital marketing. I believe that my education combined with my analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and tenacious work ethic will allow me to add great value and insight at OneAffiniti.
In addition to my education exposure, I have gained invaluable industry experience interning at LatinWorks, a hispanic advertising agency, where I learned the ins and outs of strategic planning. I found myself most invigorated and excited by the ability to form a unique story through consumer insights and data. The opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, such as Pepsi and Northgate Markets, gave me the chance to emerge myself into vastly different markets and gain new understandings of the multicultural world we live in. This experience left me thinking about the potential brands have to create their own unique identity and relate to individuals on a personal level.
Throughout my life I have been committed to giving back to my surrounding Austin community and those around me. I served as the President of my class in the National Charity League of Austin, an organization in which I was a member for seven years. As President, I learned how to push past bureaucratic organizational structures to truly focus on our mission- to help the citizens of Austin. During my term, I focused my efforts on hunger-relief, and in-turn motivated my peers to volunteer alongside me at many local philanthropic organizations, such as Mobile Loafs and Fishes, Caritas, and the Austin Food Bank.
Lastly, throughout my life both my employers and peers have told me that my talents truly lie in strategic and creative problem solving. I have never been afraid to not only ask questions, but to chase after answers. If I am offered this position, I will be ready to hit the ground running and help OneAffiniti exceed its own expectations of success.
