Dec15-May16 Structural and dynamical properties of chiral peptide nucleic acids, IIIT Hyderabad. Advisor: Dr. U Deva Priyakumar. Description: This project was aimed to study the structural and dynamic properties of chiral pepetide nucleic acids. The study is carried out by creating simulations of chiral peptide nucleic acids using CHARMM36 force field. Our experimental results discuss about the stability of pna complexes.
May15-Dec15 Benchmark study of various geometry based protein pocket detection algorithms, IIIT Hyderabad. Advisor: Dr. U Deva Priyakumar. Desription: The importance of protein 3D structures to the field of motivated our study of a dozen geometry-based algorithms for binding site detection in proteins. Our main result is ranking these algorithms based on their suitability for this purpose.
Summer13 Identification of eukaryotic-like serine/ threonine and tyrosine kinase inhibitor in human pathogenic bacteria Enterobacteriacea, National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (ICMR). Advisor(s): Dr. Santasabuj Das and Dr. Rahul Shubhra Mandal. Description: The eukaryotic type serine-threonine protein kinases (STPKs) found in normal human microbiote and in pathogenic bacteria play a key role in regulation of pathogenicity. Our aim was to find out novel eukaryotic type kinases in pathogenic bacteria and screening the bacterial genome sequences using serine/threonine and tyrosine kinase signatures available in PROSITE database. We could predict two novel serine/threonine kinases and their functions.
