ABOUT ME/OBJECTIVE
I am an 18 year old student who just graduated from Cupertino High School. I plan on going to De Anza Community College for 2 years and then transferring to a UC or another good institution. I am currently pursuing a degree in applied mathematics. While I do my studies at De Anza, I am looking for a part time job to help me make some pocket money and get me some work experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE
10/2017 to 06/2018
Team Member/Cashier at Rio Adobe Southwest Cafe? - Cupertino, CA
This was my first main restaurant job. I was part of a very small staff, and even though I was only 16 at the time and I had almost no work experience, I had to take on many responsibilities and learn on the fly. I would take and serve orders, help pack takeout orders, help with catering orders and bigger parties that came in, make drinks and some food items, and clean. After a couple months they had me start closing, often by myself. This entailed doing closing paperwork, money balancing, and locking up and cleaning up the place. My role also required lots of people interaction as I would chat with every customer and make sure they were having the best possible experience. I had to learn how to handle lots of responsibility very quickly as I would often work when it was very busy and not many other people working with me. It was a good experience as it taught me a lot about managing stress and time, being organized and efficient, and handling real responsibility.

08/18 to 04/19
Data Analyst at TestMago
My responsibilities were to research the sales and mobile growth of different companies and analyze the trends and patterns. Then I had to compile my findings and present them to help the company figure out which clients they should approach and offer our serves too. I was pretty new to the whole concept of analyzing different companies and their sales and assembling reports based on my findings, but it was a very fun and educational experience. I hope to continue my studies and gain more new and educational experiences.

09/18 to Present
Math Tutor at Mathnasium Santa Clara
I tutor kids in all levels of mathematics. I help them with their homework and studying for their tests and any other math related topics that they need assistance with. I explain new concepts and help them understand difficult ones, helping them learn to love and appreciate math and show them it’s something they can enjoy doing. It does entail a lot of responsibility as I am often left alone with them during the sessions to teach and make sure they are understanding everything as well as staying focused and on topic. I also talk with them and make jokes and make sure they feel it’s not like the classroom where they feel it might not be very fun, rather that it’s a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
