Education

University of Oxford – Master of Science- October 2019-September 2020
I am looking forward to continuing my higher education at the University of Oxford. Starting in the fall, I will be pursuing an intensive one-year master’s degree in Sociology. The program will enable me to recognize and respond to substantive problems through relevant theoretical approaches and major research techniques.
University of Durham - Bachelor of Arts (Hons) - October 2016-June 2019
I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in Politics and Philosophy at the University of Durham. My studies have provided me the opportunity to master critical skills such as analytical thinking and independent research. In my final year, I currently hold a high 2:1 and anticipate achieving a first upon graduation.
Hingham High School – US High School Diploma -September 2012-June 2016
Throughout my high school years, I worked tremendously hard to earn myself a 3.9 (out of 4.0) grade point average and be consistently ranked in the top 10 percent of my graduating class. For my scholarship and leadership, I earned membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) and the Global Citizenship Program. I was also awarded the AP International Diploma and the AP Scholar with Distinction for outstanding achievement on the Advanced Placement examinations.

Work Experience

Broadreach – Caribbean Watersports Coordinator - June 2018-August 2018
Broadreach provides teens with experiential education programs in over 40 countries. In my role as Watersports Coordinator I supported our sailing, scuba, and marine science programs in the Caribbean and taught a variety of water sports. Additional responsibilities included boat preparations, coordinating on-island logistics, and program support.
Professional Scuba Diver – Glidden Point Oyster Farms – Summer of 2016 and 2017
Since 1987, Glidden Point Oyster Farms (GPT) has grown and marketed premium Maine oysters. For two consecutive summers, I worked on the Darmiscotta River for GPT growing, harvesting, and processing tens of thousands of oysters. The grueling physical demands of the 10-12-hour work days were comprised of collaborative manual tasks with co-workers in fast-paced, highly demanding situations, as well as the independent management of underwater harvesting
