I was a summer teacher for school aged children from kindergarten to fifth grade. I worked
with Tots-N-Tikes for two summers while I was home from college. My job requirements were
to teach and supervise our students, while keeping them engaged and motivated for 9
hours a day. I developed a full schedule of activities and summer field trips while also
incorporating educational opportunities. I had to stay in constant communication with my
co-workers, students, and parents, while also staying on top of each child's different weekly
schedule. This job helped me stay organized, learn the importance of communication,
team building, and gave me the ability to adapt to different situations that can occur in a
teacher's everyday life.

Miami Country Day School | Miami, FL | January 2020 – May 2020
I was a Senior Intern with Miami Country Day in a second-grade classroom, this experience
allowed me to:
• Shadowed classroom teacher to learn current standards and best practices.
• Organized and distributed homework, textbooks, classroom supplies and other
learning materials.
• Proposed changes to teaching methods based on observational periods.
Due to COVID-19 my student teaching achievements helped my cooperating teacher and
I to overcome major obstacles with technology (Zoom.us & Google Platform), developing a
new curriculum to administer to the students online, and keeping the students engaged
and informed.

Florida Virtual School | Orlando, FL | July 2020 – October 2020
I finished up the second half of my Senior Internship with a third-grade classroom at Florida
Virtual School. After my 12 weeks, I was able to:
• Instruct groups of students in a virtual classroom setting and provided individual
student support to enhance learning.
• Assisted fellow teachers with assignments, special projects, tests, administrative
updates and grading as needed.
• Makeup and provide extra resources to students who needed additional help.
