APPLE Corps Research Project
Conducted ethnographic research in three diverse areas of Brooklyn; Greenpoint, Sunset Park, and Brownsville. Researched in regards to the public perception of professional effectiveness and the NYPD. The research concluded that if people view wrongful actions from the police department, their distrust towards police grows.

PAL (Police Athletic League)

Involved with the Police Athletic League which builds relationships with the New York City Police Department and youths through sports, homework help, and school-related activities.
NYPD Explorers
April 2016 – Present
Taught the importance of higher education, self-discipline, and respect for diversity and human dignity through training, involvement in community service projects, and other Exploring events.
Participated in a Christmas event in 2018 where we traveled throughout all the boroughs and gave out toys to children.
Assisted crowd members during Breast Cancer Walk in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
Assisting at Full Gospel Assembly Church’s food pantry.
Participated in the NYPD Cricket tournament to honor the death of a former NYPD Detective.

APPLE Corps

Involved in the APPLE Corps program at John Jay College which is a selective student leadership program which teaches leadership skills, community service, and professional ties to the New York City Police Department.
NYS Court Navigator Program
June 2019 – July 2019
The NYS Court Navigator Program is a program designed for college students to intern at New York City Civil Courts and provide support and assistance to unrepresented litigants during their court appearances in landlord-tenant and consumer debt cases. Also assisted in keeping paperwork in order, accessing interpreters, directing litigants to correct offices in the courthouse, and working one on one with one of the Judges in NYC Queens Civil Court to call docket numbers and be present to hear cases be heard.
Hour Children
June 2018 – August 2018
Hour Children focuses on harmoniously rejoining recently incarcerated mothers and their children, reunifying with their communities, and focuses on building stable and secure lives for these mothers.
