Objective:

I am a technician in the field of telecommunications; however I have always wanted to find an opportunity to enter the field of elevator mechanics. I am hardworking, motivated and a quick learner. I enjoy being a team player but I am also good at working independently when needed. I enjoy being challenged and learning something new every day. I currently live in Canada, but am a citizen a citizen of the United States and have been looking to relocate for work.

I have finished my high school education and I have obtained a DVS in the field of Telecommunications. In summary my training at PEC gave me a good grasp of the requirements necessary to perform a good installation of various means of communications. My training had:


• Theoretical periods where the language and concepts were introduced and illustrated.
• Practical periods where we applied our knowledge to install, test, configure, and analyze radio communications systems using various tools and test equipment.
• DC/AC/Semiconductors/Logic Circuits /Microprocessors
• Tools: Hand tools, Multimeter, Oscilloscope, R2600 System Analyzer, Soldering Iron
• Wireless and Wired communications Repair (installation, termination and testing of Fiber Optic cable), Installation and Repair of CATV Distribution Equipment Structured cabling (CAT 5e, 6, 6A), Fluke (DSX, DTX 1800, Cable IQ and OTDR Meters, Butt sets, Power meters, Trilithic),

Summary of Work experiences:

January 25th - February 12th 2016 (INTERNSHIP) / Technologie Amtec Inc.
During my three weeks at Amtec, I worked on various telephone systems (Norstar, Aastra, Toshiba, etc.) both analog and digital. My job consisted of testing the phones, handsets and other necessary equipment, as well as performing circuit board level repairs.

August 08th 2016 – June 08th 2017 / SC360
I worked as a Structured Cabling Technician for the company SC360. My job consisted of pulling cables on a worksite and reading the floor plans to determine where to distribute them. This also includes shaping the cables in the tray, termination of the cables, installation of the wall connectors and faceplates as well as the installation of patch panels in the Telecommunications Room.

June 12th 2017 – October 16th 2017 / Equip Bureau
I have worked as a Structured Cabling Technician for Equip Bureau. Mostly, my duties consisted of the same ones I had from my previous job, as well as a few new responsibilities such as performing network tests on our newly installed cabling and installing servers and switches in the telecom rooms.

October 31st 2017 – May 11th 2018 / Telecon
I have also worked as a Structured Cabling Technician for Telecon. As with the two previous jobs, the duties consisted of various installations and repairs of telecommunications equipment.

March 18th 2019 – Present / Videotron
Most recently I have been working as service and installation technician in a residential setting. My job consists in passing rf cables for various devices (modems, cable boxes and pvr) and terminating them, as well as performing tests to validate the quality of the signal throughout the installations. Other duties include the general maintenance and inventory of the company work van.
