Proficiently served as the Western Washington corrugated steel and HDPE pipe sales representative/project manager for over eighty existing customers while garnering new business from dozens of contractors that hadn’t purchased from the company in the past.

Accurately performed construction blueprint takeoffs using online resources and industry publications to provide quotations and technical expertise to potential customers.

Prospected for new business opportunities while building and fostering solid relationships based upon honesty and integrity.

Partnered with contractors, engineers, conservation agencies, and local/state/federal governments to find the most efficient and inexpensive solutions to fish passage impediments, storm water detention systems, environmental remediation issues, and road building projects.

Actively researched and engaged with other manufacturers that could provide specialty products that we could not for our customers' projects. This alleviated the necessity for our clients to seek out specialty items from other vendors, but rather deal with one company in order to complete their work on time and under budget.



United States Forest Service/Bureau of Land Management (December 2006-September 2015)

Recreation/Lands/Wilderness Program Manager

Formulated and administered the district’s recreation budget, which included staffing level expectations, construction projects, transportation expenditures, performance awards, and supplies that would be required to fulfill our agency's mission.

Collaborated and cooperated with local governments, public lands users, and special interest groups to formulate long-term management plans that carefully considered conflicting viewpoints and preferences regarding controversial issues.

Competently served as the contracting officer on dozens of capital improvement projects, including campground renovations, trail construction, and visitor center upgrades.

Judiciously served as the recreation, lands, wilderness, and minerals interdisciplinary team member on dozens of projects that required National Environmental Policy Act analyses. This included monitoring timber harvests and prescribed burns, and how they would affect the landscape of the forest and recreation experiences.

Responsible for all recruitment and hiring of recreation personnel and biannual performance evaluations, which included leadership training and career guidance.

Proficiently supervised and directed permanent and seasonal recreation crews that performed trail construction/maintenance, recreation site projects, and the administration of competitive events.

Creatively sought out funding sources from county and state agencies that assisted our district to conduct trail maintenance and recreation site improvements.

Successfully managed hundreds of volunteers that partnered with the federal government to complete projects that wouldn’t otherwise be accomplished with current funding levels.
