Dear Coordinator,

I am very interested in applying for Early Childhood Teacher. I Have finished my master’s degree in Special Education and my BA’s degree in Child and Adolescence Education. Working more than 5 years in the field inspired me to pursue a higher position. As a childhood educator, I believe it is important to update my knowledge about children’s development and to learn more about teaching young children. Besides my experiences as an educator, I have training on administration. I have worked as a substitute teacher for Santa Monica Malibu Unified School District for almost three years, and I am currently working as a substitute teacher for childcare careers. Working as a practicum student in Special Education Program provided me with the opportunity to increase my cultural competency, to practice counseling with children, to create behavior plans and become more skilled in the field of human development. In addition, through my university program, I have been trained on assessment of children (cognitive skills, social emotional and language skills).

I see myself as a responsible, flexible, patient and cooperative individual. I have built positive relationships with my coworkers, and I am initiative at work. I enjoy working with individuals who provide honest feedback and at the same time are attentive to others’ feelings. It is also important for me to build up my communication skills with parents and creating positive relationships with them. I believe a teacher is also a constant learner. For this reason, I keep myself updated about both psychology of children and education.

I believe that my personality, work experiences, skills and my strong interest in the field of Early Childhood Education have prepared me to be a competent teacher for various Early Children Education Sites. I am also a member of NAEYC, NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) and Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA).
