Intern: Dakar, Senegal Summer 2017
Interned in a healthcare clinic in one of the most underserved neighborhoods in Dakar, Senegal. Assisted in preliminary evaluations, pharmacy stocking, supported patients getting stitches, and midwifery assistance.

Intern: Maine Medical Center Research Institute, Scarborough, ME Summer 2017
Attended lectures from various doctors from Maine Medical Center. Participated in a rotational lab program including the Sathyanarayana Lab, Reagan Lab, Sawyer Ryzhov Lab, and the Koza Lab. All labs focused on cancer research or brown adipose tissue. Offered assistance in cell counting, assisting with cell culture, and genotyping.

Ski instructor for 4-6-year olds at Sugarloaf Mountain, work weekends from 8am-3pm from mid-November to mid-March. PSIA Level 1 certified.

Check people in, monitor traffic, and ensure equipment is used safely.

Deck/Dock Hand: Casco Bay Lines and DiMillo’s Marina, Portland Harbor, ME 2013-2017
Managed lines and ensured passenger safety. Training included: blood borne pathogen, First Aid, Man Overboard, and Fire safety. On the docks, jobs included gassing up/cleaning boats and working in the gift shop. Athletic Experience
Alpine Skiing: PSIA Level 1 Certification 1998-present
Member of Ski Club at Union College. 14 hours a weekend for around 27 weekends each winter. In 2011, became a ski coach for 4-6-year olds and have spent every winter weekend working with the same kids.

Field Hockey, Division III 2009-2017
Cheverus Varsity Field Hockey Captain, won the Captain’s Award, MVP defense Award, received SMAA Honorable mention, and made the SMAA All-Academic Team. In 2016, travelled with the Union Field Hockey Team to Ireland. Played various field hockey club teams and got to know the local culture. Spent days volunteering and introducing field hockey to community centers. Coached middle school field hockey through Falmouth Community Programs.
