I worked at the YMCA as a lifeguard for over a year. Certain traits required for this position are proper communication, and leadership skills as demonstrated during emergency situations, as well as just day to day tasks. Some of my accomplishments include anonymous letters sent by members to my supervisor complimenting my professionalism, and people skills.

Another one of my accomplishments, was being personally commissioned by the executive director to paint a mural for our facility's annual campaign. After dedicating over thirty hours, while also continuing to work at my lifeguard position, I was able to help raise tens of thousands of dollars with my mural design. Eventually my hard work had granted me the title of head lifeguard. In this position I was given many more responsibilities to lead the other lifeguards, and ensuring the members feel welcome. After just over a year and a half I am confident that I am highly respected by my superiors, coworkers, and members.

Communicated with participants, parents and program managers as needed. Came to work on time and focused on the task at hand.
Cleaned and maintained workout equipment as needed.
Worked at this position at the same time as at the YMCA
Enforced rules about facility and equipment use for the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
Established relationships with participants in order to keep them coming back.
Performed first aid for minor injuries after emergencies.
I worked at Founders Pool for the City of Dripping Springs during the summer of 2018. During this time I worked as a lifeguard, while also working at the YMCA. characteristics such as proper communication and leadership were also required at this position. Even while working both at this facility, and the YMCA I still shown a great amount of hard work such as covering shifts, and making sure patrons feel welcome and eager to come back.

Lifeguard: June 2015 - August 2017

Notified 911, or other emergency responders.
I worked for the City of Austin Aquatics as a lifeguard for three summers. With this I quickly developed proper communication skills, as well as professionalism when responding to emergencies and daily maintenance tasks. I assisted in multiple life threatening situations which involved notifying emergency responders, and performing first-aid if necessary. My dedication awarded me with several positive write ups by my superiors.
