As a summer assembler at Miller Electric, I was expected to be flexible and learn quickly as summer employees are sent where they are needed most at any given point in time. Most of the time I would assemble electrical components sent to one of the main assembly lines. These components required the use of a range of power and pneumatic tools. An eye for detail was required as any manufacturing defect could result in a fire. Problem-solving skills were required for resolving any unexpected issues. Work had to be done quickly and efficiently as to not slow production. The ability to stand for up to 12 hours, move with full dexterity, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Self-motivation was also necessary as differences in shifts could mean time without coworkers.

I was also responsible for the basic maintenance of all equipment including power tools as well as small gasoline and diesel engine powered vehicles.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Nicholas Schomisch who has applied for a position at your organization.

I have known Nicholas for two years. He is a student in the highest standing in the Fox Valley Academy of Fox Valley Technical College, a program which brings college courses to local high school students. Collaboratively, we have participated in many interesting class discussions about the problems, and opportunities businesses must solve to be successful in today’s dynamic environment. I have observed first hand, and exchanged ideas with him about his leadership in these discussions which have provided insight into management interventions, and the application of systems thinking to business situations.

Engaging in, and encouraging others to learn, is an objective of Nicholas’s leadership style. I know his passion for personal success, to serve goes well beyond classroom activities. His perspective, and fresh ideas are exactly how the legal environment can ensure that businesses will be prepared to serve future generations. A degree in Law would prepare him to execute these ideas, and to serve his admirable ambitions.

In my professional opinion, Nicholas would be an asset to any organization, and the advancement of their mission. If I can be of further assistance in support of his candidacy, please reach me at your convenience.
