ACTIVITIES

I’ve always been very passionate about medicine, as a kid I remember playing at home with my mother’s lab coat and stethoscope pretending I was a doctor. I love to help others and interact with people, this a profession that would allow me to do that while I do what I like the most in life. During High School, I was part of the Biomedical Academy and a member of HOSA where I had the chance to compete with other schools in different activities and contests. At this academy, I had the opportunity to acquire the CPR certification. Also, won the award of excellence on earth and space science. When I started college, I started volunteering at the Memorial Hospital in Miramar, as a way to give back to the community and get involved more in the field. I’ve had the pleasure to follow doctors at their offices where I’ve obtained a real-life experience of what is like to be a doctor. During these years in college, I was part of different clubs such as parasitology and HOSA.
