TYLER ROBERTSON
Looking to advance my career the culinary industry. I have completed the Culinary Arts program, at College of the Canyons, the 31st of May, 2018. This includes receiving my diploma and ServSafe Certification. I have field experience catering for, ‘Thief and Barrel’, tasting room. In the last year I have served as prep/line cook. Currently, I work at Old Town Junction. I have also worked for Wolf Creek Brewery (Scorpion building) and The Local restaurant, in Valencia. I am knowledgeable in the requirements of the kitchen.
Experience
Line cook, Old Town Junction; Newhall, CA — Oct. 29th 2018-currently
Since working at Junction I have been line cook. My daily responsibilities include setting up the line to for menu, prepping my station (this includes bulk items) and preparing food to the exact specifications of the kitchen Manager. I am expected and able to maintain a professional role both in the kitchen and with customers. Following ServSafe guidelines, I uphold the nutrition and sanitation standards. In addition to this I am responsible for stocking, labeling and rotating inventory. Lastly, I maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen i.e. deep cleaning the fryer, oven, hoods, vents, drains, walk-in and working the dish pit.

I started at the Wolf Creek Brewery as dishwasher and soon after was moved to prep cook. I assisted both the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. In addition to this I was responsible for stocking, labeling and rotating inventory. Lastly, I was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and working the dish pit.

Security, Palmdale School District; Palmdale, CA — Dec. 2013- Feb. 2017
I have worked, at Yellen Learning Center, as campus security for the last 4 years. The school caters to a demographic of children with severe mental and/or emotional disturbances, sometimes displaying aggressive behaviors. I was responsible for safeguarding the school's students, employees, facilities, equipment and supplies. I patrolled on foot, while observing activities, to prevent potentially dangerous situations from occurring. I was in compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to security, safety and personal conduct, for the district. A typical work day was 8+hours.
Paraeducator, Daystar Learning Center; Lancaster, CA — Nov. 2008-2012
As a paraeducator I worked under the general supervision of a principal. In the classroom I worked under the direct supervision of the teacher. I assisted in implementing plans and programs related to the specific academic or functional skills for students with severe mental, physical, and or emotional learning challenges. Helping them to attain these skills, I worked with students directly, in individual or in small groups. Assistance with toileting and feeding was sometimes required. I provided a clean and safe learning environment for them. Clerical work and data collection were part of my daily responsibilities, as well.
