2016-2018 GSAFE teacher and conference consultant
As an educator for the non-profit organization GSAFE, I traveled to different cities around Wisconsin teaching workshops to LGBT youth and youth of color about social issues and how they can be leaders in their communities. I have taught 9 workshops in the past and recently won a scholarship through GSAFE for my work. I also helped develop lesson plans and activities for regional and statewide conferences held by GSAFE.

As leader of my high schools Gender-Sexuality Alliance/Anti-Racism Team, I came up with workshop ideas and plans for members, developed school-wide campaigns (such as National Coming Out Day, National Day of Silence, or Black History Month), and helped promote tolerance of minority groups at our school. Our mission was to make our community a safe place for LGBT students, disabled students, and students of color.
