The objective of this research project was to assess through qualitative and quantitative data collection the needs of the community and to forward those needs via recommendations for program development. In addition to needs assessment, this research project offered a comprehensive framework for program structuring. This was used to establish an assessment model the MLK Jr. Rec Center could use in future program evaluation and development and community building effort.

The object of this project was to explore how North Texas homeowners perceived the Water Energy Nexus, or the relationships between water supply and energy supply. The study objectives were to document the water-energy nexus awareness, uncover mental models and identify household beliefs and behaviors.
