People to People Student Ambassador Program- 2008
- I was nominated to travel to Europe with the People to People Student Ambassador Program as a student ambassador in 2008. The program is designed to build understanding of other cultures through education. We took part in a community service project in Germany with local refugee children. We toured England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, and Holland.
Dickinson State University Office of Communications Internship- 2016
- For a summer I interned at my university�s communications office. I wrote articles for their website, wrote radio ads, and assisted in re-writing the website�s pages for the website reconstruction, among other things. This involved phone and email interviews as well as online research.
Self-Employment in the Arts Convention, Naperville, IL- 2017
- I traveled to the SEA convention in Illinois with two of my professors and several classmates from Dickinson State University. As someone to loves to write, I was introduced to marketing and business practices that would benefit me as a writer. I was also introduced to the publishing process.
Passages Israel- 2017
- In the summer of 2017 I traveled to Israel with Passages. I traveled with Forge Leadership and the PragerU student ambassador program, PragerFORCE. I was introduced to different viewpoints such as Jewish, Israeli Christian, Israeli Arab, and Palestinian that helped me better understand Israel�s history and their role in the modern world. These viewpoints were provided through talks and tours given by rabbis, pastors, journalists, Knesset members, and locals from a variety of backgrounds. We visited religious sites as well as modern sites, such as the Supreme Court of Israel in Jerusalem.
PragerFORCE- 2016- 2017
- PragerFORCE is the PragerU student ambassador program. This involves sharing their videos on a social media platform and engaging in political discourse.
LevelHead Politics- 2015-2016
- For a short period, I wrote for LevelHead Politics. This was a website run by young college aged Republicans. The articles were Republican based while trying to keep an open mind to different viewpoints. I had the opportunity to write a piece on the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests. This involved interviewing tribal leaders and protestors as well as online research. The website has since disbanded.
The Galilea Fellowship- 10/2018- end date: 12/2018
- I am currently volunteering in Israel through the Galilea Fellowship. I am an English aid in three high schools in the region. This involves meeting with the students and building their conversational English as well as organizing different activities to strengthen their vocabulary. In addition to working in the schools, we also do different projects such as cleaning up trash around the Sea of Galilee. Studying Jewish- Christian relations, Israeli- Jewish history, Arab history, and Hebrew also make up a large part of the program. Contributing to the Fellowship�s blog is also a requirement.
Recognition in the Workplace
Tractor Supply Company 2016- I received the Country Mile Award which recognizes the hard work of employees. This is an award in which the manager nominates an employee.
Basin Hydraulic 2017- I received employee of the quarter after being back with this particular company for only a few months.
