PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE NARRATIVE

2016 to 2018: AGILIS ENGINEERING, INC. ? West Palm Beach, FL
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Utilized a strong fundamental comprehension of 3D modeling software such as NX and ProE to create and redesign existing parts of gas turbine engines. Served on a team to receive manufactured parts data and establish pass/fail criteria.
• Reviewed drawings and prints to check tolerance, conducted tolerance stack-up to ensure parts functionality if necessary, compared tolerances with a database of expanded tolerances to determine if each part would pass based on prior testing, and conducted quick stress analysis on parts to determine functionality, performing double checks as applicable.
• Promoted to lead the team of up to eight individuals after two months, accepting the challenge of providing solutions in design projects using thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals and industry aerospace standards.
• Served as a project manager to ensure high standards of quality for engine components from manufacturing facilities around the world, including remaining familiar with parts manufacturing processes that included plastic injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Facilitated meetings with customers to review budgets and timelines, held daily meetings to discuss productivity, ensuring parts arriving at the facility would be analyzed within two days, served as the first contact with the customer regarding the overall project, and wrote code (VBA) for the ETL team to make daily processes more efficient and systematic.
• Utilized ANSYS workbench to create FE analysis, and used GD&T fundamentals, ASME Y14.5 2009, to ensure part assembly and functionality.
• Created 3D modeling and 2D drawings using the CAD model (NX and Solidworks), developed hand calculations to compare against FE analysis, and created a bill of materials for projects while selecting appropriate materials to sustain temperature, cost, weight, and ergonomic restrictions.
• Requested quotes from different manufacturing companies for materials and manufacturability of parts.
• Created PowerPoint presentations to communicate design intent and reviews for the customer.
• Redesigned a test nozzle for an engine to help lower assembly time, and also reduce some costs in the assembly process by allowing one person to perform the assembly rather than three to four before the modification.

2013 to 2016: KUMON A+ LEARNING CENTER ? Boca Raton, FL
MATHEMATICAL INSTRUCTOR
Delivered mathematical instruction to students ages 3 to 19 in topics ranging from elementary arithmetic to college-level calculus and differential equations. Reviewed homework assignments and provided individual instruction to promote student learning.
• Prepared study programs, designed interactive lessons, evaluated student performance, and mentored for achievement.

2009 to 2013: TARGET, INC. ? Deerfield Beach, FL
ELECTRONICS / PLANOGRAM TEAM MEMBER
Worked on the hardlines team to assist customers with electronic inquiries and organized the sales environment to ensure the store was presentable and neat to encourage purchases. Delivered outstanding customer service in the fast-paced environment.
• Remained current in all applicable electronics information, including television, video game systems, sound systems, tablets, computers, and cameras.
• Redesigned the visual presentation of the store utilizing seasonal products.
• Led the training of all new staff members.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL

Senior Design Project: Designed a power-assisted shopping cart to translate on an inclined plan and staircase powered by a 12-volt battery and a motor to handle a 25-pound load within the cart with the main focus on design and manufacturing of the cart and clutch system.

Project Achievements: Created a code using Arduino to allow the control system to signal the motor controller of the direction of the motor, in turn allowing forward or reverse translation of the shopping cart, and machined flanges and axles for the shopping cart with flanges incorporated into the clutch system.

TECHNOLOGY: MATLAB, LabVIEW, MS Office, Ansys, Arduino, C, NX, SolidWorks, Pro E Creo, GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009), SAP, Teamcenter.

VOLUNTEER AFFILIATIONS: City of Coral Springs, FL – Local Recreational Soccer Program
