As an administrative assistant, my primary duties are to greet each of the students and their families enthusiastically and maintain the organization of the studio. Some tasks I do during this job are taking inventory, ordering supplies and books, sending and receiving emails, tagging and stocking the books we sell, assisting customers with payments, and helping the teachers and students when in need. Buca di Beppo is a two-story Italian restaurant located in a bustling shopping center in Mira Mesa. My job as a hostess is to greet guests enthusiastically as part of the “buca family” and guide them to their tables. This job requires a lot of mental and physical strength. I have to determine table seatings by guests preferences and arrange tables according to party size, table availability, and server ability. Along with the main duties, I have to multitask by performing consistent menu sweeps, cleaning menus and bathrooms, and communicating messages between sections of the restaurant. It's my responsibility to communicate messages between workers in order to ensure smooth restaurant operation.

During the summers, I volunteer at a retirement home that houses independent low-income seniors that live in Chula Vista, California. I volunteer here twice a week to cook free lunches for the residents. There is a licensed chef on site and I prepare vegetables, blend sauces, clean, and prepare plates. Then I serve those meals to the residents.

As a child psychological development intern, I focus on providing teachers assistance to a class of first graders. In this class, I help kids learn basic math and English skills as well as help them feel empowered and have a positive outlook towards their futures. After each shift I write reports on the children to see trends in their behaviors and study theories on why they act a certain way in order to find ways to help them focus and succeed in the classroom.

The starbucks I work at is a bustling coffee shop in Mira Mesa. It focuses on serving the highest quality coffee to communities. As a barista, I make coffee for customers in a fast paced setting. Some other responsibilities I have within this role is cleaning, mopping, restocking ingredients, and assisting the needs of guests. The time and quality demand is high, which makes attention to detail and focus of utmost importance. Throughout the process, I remain calm and hold casual conversations with the customers. I keep an extremely clean work setting and get along well with the other workers and communicate well with my team.
