Piano Accompanist

I began playing piano at three years old and started accompanying choirs at the age of 10. I am thankful to have had many excellent teachers, directors, and tutors who have nurtured and trained me for nearly 20 years. I have thrived under numerous music groups and programs. I have won Washington State level high school competitions in both jazz and classical music, and I have over 10 years of experience accompanying choirs and musicals.
In my most recent position, I worked as an accompanist at Seattle Girls Choirs and Bellevue Youth Choirs, where I played for children ranging from ages four to 14, and accompanied them in a variety of different genres. In my past experiences, I have also been the lead pianist for three high school musicals, including directing and conducting the pit orchestra for one of them. I have upbringings in classical and jazz primarily, and have accompanied soloist singers in opera, contemporary, gospel, and broadway. My ability to sight read quickly and improvise on the spot has also proved useful in the various groups I have played for.
