EDUCATION

BA (HONS) FASHION COMMUNICATION & PROMOTION
NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY 2015-2018
GRADE: First Class Honours

While studying on my university course, I was involved in a large number of both team and independent projects where I worked on skills such as styling, graphic and editorial design, photography, art direction, trend analysis and film.
For my final year dissertation project, I chose to look into the relationship between identity, class and fashion which resulted in the creation of Widespread Magazine (a bi- annual print publication aiming to unite the social classes by bringing their similarities to the forefront.) This project honed in on my analytical writing, graphic, editorial and photography & styling skills.
In addition to this, I worked on a live brief with Stack Magazines as part of a team project to create Chintzy Magazine (a tri- annual fashion and lifestyle print publication). Working in a small team allowed me to practice the skills I already had as well as experiment with trying new creative avenues. My main roles included photographer, stylist, artworker and editor. The magazine proved to be successful as a student project and we were contacted by multiple independent print stores requesting to stock copies for retail.
During my final year, I also worked on the degree show team. My roles were in both the marketing and design teams, assisting each when they needed it most. Jobs I took on included helping to prepare marketing and show materials, putting up outdoor promotion in local independent businesses, assisting in the physical show set-up, consulting in design meetings and working on the graphics for the show.
