Horticulture Intern (12-week program) May 2018 to Aug 2018

Job duties included general maintenance of the arboretum and natural areas of the 16,000-acre property that was accessible to the public. Daily responsibilities referred to cutting of grass, invasive species removal, tree removal, cleaning of company vehicles, general maintenance of company horticulture equipment. Equipment used on daily basis included zero-turn lawn mower, string trimmer/edger, hand saw, chain saw, wood chipper, stick shift and automatic vehicles, and pole saw. Responsibilities outside of the arboretum were installation and maintenance of green roofs. Completed an internship project within the agency and Western Kentucky University in which I created a wildlife identification chart through MacBook. Also, correlated in event planning/working events based on a year-round schedule with agency.

Sports Clubs Supervisor January 2018 to May 2018

Job duties engaged in supervising Universities sports club practices and handling all equipment duties for each individual sports club team. Supervision numbers were between 2-4 teams and 10-30 people at times. Logged daily information regarding to club teams who practiced and how they practiced in regards to safety or behaving on agency iPad. Daily tasks were making sure people were safe, following all rules/regulations, first aid if needed, and monitoring each team while practices were occurring. Shifts regulated through the early evening and sometimes during the day. Also supervised private teams outside the University who rented fields for use at night or during day. Other duties were supervising sport club games on weekends (ex. rugby games on Saturdays).

Job duties were grounds maintenance for the Western Kentucky University intramural complex. Daily duties were removal of grass, cleaning the complex, painting sports fields, and or any general maintenance to equipment or to the facility. Worked a faculty event hosted by Western Kentucky University of a regional flag football tournament of teams around the United States. Was awarded ‘Employee of the Year’ at the end of the year voted by other colleagues.
