To Whom It May Concern,
I am a senior majoring in Film and Digital Media and Psychology at Baylor University, and am confident I would be a great addition to your team. I’m an avid watcher of both television and internet content, and my studies have also provided experience in several production areas. I believe this knowledge base, my personal creativity, and coursework in psychology bring a strong portfolio of skills to assist in gaining new viewers and continuing to please longtime audiences.
Growing up in Southern California, I was able to gain production experience with high quality equipment filming, directing, and editing, while participating in film festivals and camps at my high school and at UCLA. My college curriculum has expanded this experience in all areas of production from script writing to creating a live television show and editing short films.
In Summer 2017, I interned for John Albarian, where I assisted with post production work editing deleted scenes for seasons 19 and 20 of the “The Simpsons” DVD’s. I was also responsible for organizational and Adobe Photoshop work with a music documentary about country singer, Alan Jackson.
I enjoy and do well in a fast paced environment, using my organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to retain a calm demeanor in times of high intensity. I push myself to work hard in college, double majoring, playing a club sport, and being involved in sorority life. To thrive in this busy lifestyle, I’ve developed strong planning and organizational abilities, and demonstrated skills at managing several activities simultaneously. In addition to my work in film media, my experiences working in retail and caring for young children in a church child care program taught me to stay attentive and calm with stressful situations.
In order to pursue my goals and passions, I made choices to move to attend a Texas college, live in Italy for 2 months, and am now moving to New York. I learned how to push myself to accomplish goals independently. I would love to apply all these important skill sets and innate talents to a production team.
