Studio Art and Biology B.S. at Skidmore College class of 2018, Cum Laude
Recipient of the West Coast Film Award internship stipend for the summer of 2016; nominated to apply for the
Goldwater Scholarship by Skidmore College Academic Advising. Graduated in May 2018 with BS in Studio Art and Biology. The Studio Art major included a concentration in textiles and fabric construction, dyeing, and weaving. The Biology major included lab experience in ecology, genetics, microbiology, and chemistry.

EXPERIENCE
Skidmore College Biology Major, Independent Biology Research September 2017-January 2018
Created and collaborated on an independent research study with guidance from the head of the Skidmore Biology Department and one other student. Monitored and recorded the circadian rhythms of fruit flies treated with an array of artificial sweeteners. Collected and processed data using R, and recorded findings in a paper.

Skidmore College Residential Life, Resident Assistant (RA) August 2015 - May 2018
Manage 12 apartments and 52 residents, oversee work orders and facilities issues, and plan community bonding events. The student liaison between residents and professional staff.

Sutro Biopharma, Biochemistry Intern June 2017-August 2017
Assisted with development and research of head researcher in a biochemistry lab. Learned how to centrifuge, titrate, and synthesize proteins. Gave a presentation to CEO, CFO, and CMO about my own contributions to the development of a new product. Learned about protein therapy as a potential way to treat cancer.

Skidmore College Early Childhood Center, Teaching Assistan. September 2017 - May 2018
Assist Pre-K teacher with the instruction and daily routines of 3-5 year-olds for three-hour school days. Engage 1-on-1 with students and facilitate art projects and guided play.

Academy of Art University, Lab Technician September 2018 – December 2018
Seasonal work; worked closely with faculty and students to improve and foster a safe environment in the sculpture department. Responsible for maintaining and allowing students to use machinery and tools in the studio. Capable of giving basic instruction on welding, firing ceramic kilns, applying patinas, and woodworking.

ReelDx, Intern June 2016 – September 2016
Organized edited, translated (and sometimes transcribed Spanish to English) medical video with the medical start-up company ReelDx. Worked closely with the founder and CEO to make video content accessible and standardized as a teaching tool for medical schools and other medical professional training programs.

MMClay Ceramics, Production Manager October 2018-Present
Organize and direct production in a medium-scale ceramics studio. Input new orders made during the week, and process numbers for production the next week. Capable of glazing, sculpting, throwing, hand-building, sanding, firing, and trimming all works. Interact daily with CEO and CBO to update and plan for projected deadlines. Responsible for directly managing a team of four production assistants.
