My Jam - Elizabeth Marshall

About me:
Creative Thinker by day,
Certified Socialite by night.
I undoubtedly will always have a story to tell.

In the advertising world, I am D&AD New Blood Pencil Winner!
However, I am currently, working in Shanghai on an internship in PR, Events and Marketing. Nevertheless, as a university student, I am also working on analysing how effective healthcare PR is, how to successfully develop a strategy that advertises western brands into the eastern market of China and helping launch the new Spaceport in Cornwall! I love getting involved in anything and everything to an extremely high standard, but always have time to remain fun, energetic and social.

My skillset consists of events promoting, account handling, creative strategies, client liaison, being imaginative, creative problem solving and talking way too much. I am always super excited about everything I do!

Outside of the working day, I live in now and get myself out and about. I am a Corporate Liason Officer & Social Secretary for Women in Business Society, where I organise and run events for the society and keep close connections with venues. Plus, I am part of the CSM Netball Team, which keeps me active!

Work Experience:

DIGITAL MARKETING & PR INTERNSHIP
May 2019 - July 2019
Working in the Eastern consumer market was an eye-opener. The social media platforms and verbal practices are very different to the western world. I was tasked with the digital executions of promo videos, running networking events and helping build the GBC social profiles. I was also put in charge of one of the biggest accounts, where I attended important deal-making meetings.

SPACEPORT ADVERTISING TEAM
May 2019 - Current
Back in November 2018, my partner and I pitched a new launch campaign to the client Spaceport Cornwall. We were selected to be part of a unique creative team, to work alongside Spaceport in helping advertise the new horizontal launch site to consumers. The aim is to end up advertising B2B. Ive gained valuable skills in strategic thinking.

STUDENT AMBASSADOR
November 2017 - Current
I am an ambassador for the university, and I act as a representative to the public. Im confident in my approach but have also received compliments on my enthusiasm for the job... even when Im just marshalling! Im passionate about what I love and I love the university, so it's easy to encourage people to do so too! The jobs range from sales calls to events abroad, so its very diverse, which is always exciting.

SALES ASSISTANT
May 2018 - May 2019
I helped open a new store alongside my team in Truro, Cornwall. Weve spent tireless hours tagging, hanging and organising through lots of long hours which we were all happy to do. I really enjoy learning new skills that come with a diverse range of new products which I didnt know much about, to begin with. Ive had lovely customer feedback working here and its really built my confidence up.

More can be acquired if needed.
