Music Publicity Summer Intern

Hello, I’m Isabelle - a native of Montana, going to the University of Colorado, Denver. I’m very interested in the potential opportunity of a Music Publicity intern position at Big Hassle Media.  I am extremely passionate about music in my life and cultivate that love through finding new artists and music, writing for media, and helping to bridge the gap between artists and their audience within my own creative endeavors.

The experiences I have been apart of so far include starting my own business called In House Collective where I work to feature emerging artists and creators through various different forms of media, specifically editorials, being a member of my university's nationally recognized acapella group Lark, and serving as a campus representative for a new social streaming platform called Quadio.

In my time at the University of Colorado Denver, I have completed coursework that has helped to expand my knowledge of business in the world of music and entertainment. I have gained efficient skills using Microsoft Office and Google Drive, skills in digital photography, content creation, and experience with Adobe Photoshop.  I have excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in writing for media, am fluent in social media platforms and believe that a position at this company would pave a great path for me. Through these opportunities, I have found my passion for writing in media, content creation, and working with artists. I have also been involved previously with reception and office administration work which has helped to expand my business capabilities.

Funny enough, the first concert I ever went to was The Black Crowes and I have a vivid memory of being in the very front, making a soul connection with Chris Robinson- pretty profound for a 2nd grader.  The Crowes along with Jack White in his White Stripes days, and “Blister in the Sun” by The Violent Femmes are the beginnings of my love of music as these were constantly playing in the background of my childhood. As I’ve expanded my tastes I have most recently been loving Charles Bradley, Amyl and the Sniffers, Lake Street Dive, and The Growlers. The last concert I attended was BROCKHAMPTON with Slow Thai and it truly was an amazing show. I will be relocating to the New York City area with family for the summer and can be available from June 1st to August 12th, as many days a week as necessary for this position. I am hardworking, goal-oriented, and willing to do what it takes to help any company thrive. I am eager and excited for this potential opportunity to add to my knowledge and experience.
