PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
American Preparatory Academy, Salt Lake City: Music Instructor 2019-2020
Teaching ages K-5 in a rigorous classical training curriculum that includes concerts and
assemblies. Students are taught folk songs, patriotic songs, as well as new compositions,
theory, music history, solfege, and the particulars of singing in group settings, including
memorization and blending.

Substitute Teacher, 2018-2019
Have been an instructor in classroom settings.

La Europa Academy, Salt Lake City: Music Instructor, 2017-2019
Provide group and private music education to teenage girls. Topics include composition and
musical arrangements, rehearsals, performances, and private lessons. Also facilitate
cohesion and inclusion with the students.

Music for Life, Owner/Operator and Private Piano Instructor, 1994-2017
Worked with students of all ages and levels using adaptive techniques and styles to tailor to
individual needs. Curriculum included rhythm, ear-training, music theory, music history, and
sight reading. Attended teaching seminars and created recitals for my students.

Ariel Children’s Theatre, Salinas, CA, Music Director/Performer, 2006-2007
Directed rehearsals and oversaw coaching and accompaniment for stage performances for
children’s theater.

Hillside Middle School, Salt Lake City, UT, Instrumental Music Director, 2003-2006
Conducted rehearsals for band, orchestra, and guitar. Other courses and curriculum included
remedial music, music repertoire, articulation, music theory, music listening and history, and
other fundamentals. Facilitated and directed school concerts and annual district music
festivals.

Hillside Middle School, Salt Lake City, UT, Detention Facilitator, 2002-2003
Facilitated detention for students and helped them learn strategies and concepts that would
hopefully lead to improved actions within a classroom setting.

Utah Shakespearean Festival, Cedar City, UT, 1999
Played keyboards for the USF production of 'Damn Yankees.' Assisted in rehearsals, sound
tests, performances, and the interpretation of the music played.
