Profile

Mitron Munsaka is a fully trained and qualified primary school teacher who has successfully taught in Zimbabwe, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. Her last position was Grade 7 English Teacher at Institute Status Acres Combined School, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, South Africa. While teaching at Eastleigh Primary School, she has organised and participated in Science and Mathematics Exhibitions/Expos and excursions like the annual SCI-BONO in Johannesburg, in South Africa. These activities gave an opportunity for the young learners to demonstrate their creativity, communication and collaboration skills. During her tenure at various primary schools, she has been intensively involved in the teaching, learning and extra-curricular activities offered by the schools. She has been a class teacher and has executed her duties diligently and her record keeping of learners’ activities and performance in the subjects that she taught were meticulous. This is supported by the testimonials given to her by the principals for the schools where she worked. She is adaptable and makes use of technology to enhance her teaching. She encourages creativity and curiosity by allowing learners to research and report back on questions as opposed to providing answers. This has resulted in stimulating the minds of the young learners. She makes learning fun by allowing learners to investigate, experiment, observe, question and investigate phenomena around their environment. She uses manipulatives and technology in the classroom to promote practical teaching and learning. She is sensitive to the individual needs of her learners; hence her planning embraces differentiation to achieve maximum results. Mitron is an avid reader who keeps herself abreast by constant reading, research and attending school based and out of school meetings, workshops and seminars. Her demeanour and motherly nature, has won her the hearts of parents, colleagues and the young learners that she teaches. She can manage pressure and always meets set deadlines. She is effective and efficient in and outside the classroom environment. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Business Administration degree with the Swiss Business School, Dubai Campus.
My qualifications include:

• Curriculum Assessor Certificates
I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration degree with the Swiss Business School which I hope to complete in 2019.
Self-description: I am self-driven, motivated and result oriented. I am innovative and incorporate challenges as learning curves. I am amenable as well as open to suggestions even if they are of a different view. I am accommodative and allow room for error and growth without being emotional or judgmental. I never give up the quest for knowledge and I believe that, in every problem, there is a solution. To me, teaching is a passion and a calling, and this is the reason why I subscribe to the belief that education goes beyond the normal classroom. I strongly believe that for one to be a teacher of note, one should be concerned about the holistic development of the students. As a lifelong learner myself, I believe my teaching journey is far from over. When I look back on my successes and areas of growth, I find that I am happy with the progress I have made so far and know without any shadow of doubt that I can achieve more. My goal is to be the best that I can be.
