Psychology Research Symposium, Saddleback College February 2017 – March 2017
Research Developer
Developed IRB-approved study aimed at observing correlation between degrading nature of hip-hop/rap lyrics and misogyny.
Collected and analyzed online, self-reported survey data from people ages 19-40 using Google Surveys/SurveyMonkey and writing full length research paper. Dedicated 2-3 hours daily over 2 week period.
Concluded that there was no significant main effect between listening to degrading hip-hop/rap lyrics and misogynistic tendencies.

Research Study: Communication, UCLA November 2017 – December 2017
Head Researcher
Formulated study aimed at observing effects of social media use on maintaining social relationships, and presented it to students.
Collected and analyzed online, self-reported survey data from college students ages 19-25 using SurveyMonkey and writing full length research paper. Dedicated 1-2 hours daily over 6 week period.
Concluded that social media use for individuals ages 19-30 does not negatively affect ability to communicate or maintain social relationships, and does not increase preference for offline vs. online communication.

Research Study: Unusual request, UCLA February 2018 – March 2018
Research Developer
Collaborated on developing 2x2 factorial study aimed at observing effects of the type of request made (unusual vs. normal) and the tone of voice (sad vs. neutral) on likelihood of compliance to fulfill the request.
Gathered and analyzed data from UCLA Research Methods students (ages 19-24) using 10 question, in class survey and writing full length research paper. Dedicated 1-2 hours daily over 5 week period.
Concluded main effect for tone of voice on compliance, but no main effect for type of request. No significant interaction between type of request and tone of voice.

St. Joseph Health Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo August 2012 – February 2013

Worked front desk; directed visitors to various care units within hospital, fielded phone calls, and printed guest passes.
