including clinical, financial, resident and staff satisfaction. Continued the implementation of the Sanctuary Model for Resident quality of life, establishing a culture where every life is sacred. Eliminated three bed wards to create spacious 2 bed rooms improving the quality of life for Residents. With Medical Director and IDT reduced hospital readmission rate from 33% to 14% - meeting weekly with Primary Care Physicians to review discharges. Pilot community for Tele Health project introducing off hour physician coverage to review Resident needs prior to transfer to acute care. Made significant progress in the state of the work life experience and the culture of the community. On negotiating team for two labor contracts with SEIU and AFSCME.

As the Administrator I lead and model behavior that creates a high performing culture achieving excellence in service, quality, efficiency, associate engagement, physician loyalty, operating income and growth. Duties include: oversight of day to day operations working closely with operating unit executives and medical leadership. As President of the Board of Trustees (2007-2009) I had responsibility for recruitment, development and creating positive relationships with St. John Senior Services Board of Trustees ensuring effective governance and committee process. During this period had responsibility for 411 SNF and 60 ALU located at two communities with $34 million in annual revenue and 530 associates.
Major accomplishments include: CON application and approval for 30 SNF beds to develop a transitional rehab unit at St. John Senior Community. Initiated a team to develop long-term care pharmacy product line with St. John Health, serving both SNF communities and other SNF.
Obtained initial national accreditation through JCAHO at Father Murray Nursing Center In 2002.
Implemented Press Gainey satisfaction tool for Senior Services. Developed and Implemented a shared leadership model for dietary services for the two communities. Participated with St. John Health transformation teams charged to eliminate $85 million in operating expenses.
Created positive relationship in the St. John Health System of hospitals, home care, local and national corporate staff – to ensure a well-coordinated patient care experience.

Leading the long-term care product line for Battle Creek Health System at Mercy Pavilion of Battle Creek, a Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living community. Participated in acute care Hoshin Strategic Planning Process, leading the transformation process in CQI/Performance Improvement. Earned three-year unconditional accreditation from JCAHO.
