WORK EXPERIENCE
Project Intern (Metfab Metals LLC.) Aug. 2018 - Jan. 2019
Used Solidworks, PTC Creo, and Inventor to convert 2D hand sketches into fully rendered 3D models and drawings then used the models to stress-test conceptual designs for clients.
While taking regular inventory., I compiled and submitted sales & purchase orders to be reviewed by the Senior Project Manager.
Created and compiled material cultists for various ongoing projects, and distributed them along with their respective Sales/Purchase Orders and drawings to specific shop workers for task completion.
Coordinated and edited the google spreadsheet program with new orders and sales information.
On more complicated jobs that required plasma cutting, I programmed the shop plasma cutting table in order to cut the more unique pieces of material for the client.
Trained the incoming Stevens Project Intern to ensure a swift transfer of responsibilities and minimize the loss in productivity,
DESIGN EXPERIENCE
Double-Filter 2nd Order Crossover Network (Dual Subwoofers)
Jan. - May 2018
Designed, built and tested a stereo network using various amplifiers and a high/low pass filter system to amplify sound from a computer and convert it to stereo between two subwoofers.
The network that we designed, holds the class record for the highest current amplification for the lowest voltage.
12 Inch Upright Bridge Truss
Sept. - Dec. 2017
Using load analyzing software, the team designed a 4-inch high truss that could be built with the least amount of material.
Using soldering and metalworking skills, the design we brought to life allowed
the truss to hold well over the minimum amount of 425 lbs. (Held 507 lbs)
Urban Search and Rescue Robot
Jan. - May 2017
Built a robot that used 9 light, infrared and motion sensors to navigate a 3D arena in order to verify a “survivor,” and drop off a payload.
Combining my teammate's coding and wiring system with my roll cage and magnetic package delivery system, we successfully navigate and drop off the package without tipping.
Semi-Autonomous Bumper Cars
Sept. - Dec. 2016
Outfitted an old aluminum chassis with a light sensor and bumper system so that the robot could self-navigate a maze without any human input.
The wooden bumper design allowed for an effective solution to a complicated problem involving physical contact with the robot.
