B. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Maternal and Child Welfare Center
South Delhi Municipal Corporation, New Delhi, India
- Clinical consultation of antenatal and postnatal mothers, children and adolescent; attended homebirths in the underserved area;
- Supervised and collaborated with staff of 7 nursing staff and 25 health educators to deliver basic maternal and child healthcare services to a population of 100,000, ensured target community (maternal, child and adolescent) mobilization to health camps, along with the successful implementation of various national health programs;
- Planned and organized daily center activities in order to guide and motivate the target population, enabled immunization services to children (up to the age of 5 years). The center immunized approximately 2000 children per month;
- Conducted family planning sessions to counsel and motivate eligible couples about contraceptive methods and its long-term benefits. Also carried out IUCD application procedure on a daily basis with the support of nursing staff;
- Counseled antenatal and postnatal mother about exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding practices, perinatal depression, and nutritional education;
- Organized adolescent camps, to educate about reproductive health, mental health, and growth-related changes, academic and social life stress, and self-management, also when and how to seek medical advice;
