Firm was the capital sub of a private family owned energy entity that divested a portion of its holdings for several hundred million back in 2010 and 2011 after holdings in Marcellus and Utica were found to consist of significant deep drill potential. Oversaw and managed an Absolute Return hedge fund. Investments consisted of Long/Short domestic & foreign equity positions, as well as various high yield, emerging market and foreign dominated debt issues. In addition, oversaw outside fund investments, as well as alternative investments. Family’s parent company sold its remaining energy holdings at the first of 2017 and head of family decided thereafter that investment and financial activities, as well as the various fund assets, would be distributed to family members who had been seeking increased involvement, therefore, Locin Capital was shut down.
