Marcos Antonio Santana Andrade Junior

Dr. Marcos Andrade Jr. has a PhD in Chemistry degree from University of Campinas, Brazil (2016). He just concluded recently a visiting researcher period at University of Washington (03/2019-03/2020), executing a project on chalcogenides thin films solar cells at Prof Hillhouse group. Experience in materials sciences and semiconductors, synthesis of materials for electro and photoelectrochemical applications, methods of deposition and characterization of semiconductors, and photovoltaic material, and electro- and photoelectrochemical catalytic reactions.

Published 15 scientific papers cited 118 times, wrote 3 book chapters, and deposited 1 patent in Brazil on a new method to deposit perovskite oxides thin films on conductor glass for electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction.
Visiting researcher at Aalto University (Finland) School of Science, Department of Applied Physics, New Energy Technologies Group, under Prof. Peter Lund supervision, 2015 during Ph.D. graduation.
Experience in R&D in a Brazilian industry for production of zeolite A using the aluminum present in the wastewater from a bauxite extraction company, leading a group of 2 technicians, and producing zeolite in large scale to be added in powder detergents.
