Video Production: Conceptualize, film and edit videos that allow both entities to control their messaging (company history, employee spotlights and product/service marketing) in a cost-effective and engaging manner. Quickly and professionally turnaround and enhance projects using intuition and constructive feedback. Post videos to YouTube, social media and company websites. Produce videos for clients, including organizing pictures and clips, as well as filming interviews to be shown at funerals. Consistently meet tight deadlines and adjust to clients’ needs and input.

Editing: Reduced 40 hours of footage to 45 minutes. Used Adobe Premiere Pro for sound editing and color correction.
Story Development: Used client outline and feedback to construct a meaningful and impactful story.

ASSISTANT VIDEO EDITOR – Left of Black, Durham, NC Sept. 2018 to May 2019
Prepared interviews with academics, artists and activists for publication on YouTube. Key responsibilities included:
Editing: Assisted with recording of videos, including help to select camera angles, and post-production work on 30-minute interviews. Successfully contributed to the development of approximately 30 final pieces.
Social Media: Condensed longer videos into informative 2 minutes clips. Responsible for posting stories on Instagram.

MEDIA INTERN – Duke Story+: Left of Black, Durham, NC May 2018 to June 2018
Selected in highly competitive process to develop educational videos to teach high school students about Black history.
Editing: Transformed pre-recorded stories into shorter videos and lessons. Used animation to increase engagement.
Team Collaboration: Worked with researchers and other students to create, plan and execute our concept. Received social media recognition/award for attracting the most online attention.
Curriculum Development: Designed lesson plans and activities to accompany each educational video.

Worked with prestigious program to help high achieving students from under resourced schools prepare for college.
