EXHIBITS

A Gathering of Voices - The Judith Espinar and Tom Dillenburg Collection
For this show, I worked with Laura Addison, the Curator of American and European Folk Art, from the beginning stages of gathering objects for the show at the donors home, to the final stages of installation with the exhibition preparitors. I have also been working on cataloging the extensive collection that Judith Espinar is donating to the museum as part of an ongoing project.
Alexander Girard: A Designers Universe - The Vitra traveling Exhibition
This show is a long term project that I had started working on with Laura Addison shortly after I started working with MOIFA. I worked alongside her, doing research and small logistics projects dealing with the upcoming exhibit. I also helped with sound and technological set up for the public opening for this event.
Girard’s Modern Folk - Exhibition in Lloyds Treasure Chest
This exhibition is in conjunction with the ongoing Alexander Girard: A Designers Universe exhibit. It displays Girards collection at MOIFA, alongside the designs that he created for Herman Miller and personal gifts for his wife, Susan. It is a small reflection of how his collection may have inspired some of his work. I worked closely in conjunction with Laura Addison on the curation of the selected objects on display in this exhibit, as well as organization of the guide book.
Yoki: Ghost and Demons of Japan - Upcoming Exhibit December 2019
This show is an upcoming exhibit featuring the ghost and demons of Japan. I have been working with Felicia Katz-Harris, the Curator of Asian art, since the very first planning days of this exhibit. I have carried out a wide range of tasks, from pulling our collection of objects related to the show for both display and photography, to in-depth research on the objects that we have in our collection in relation to their regional ties to Japan. I have also worked with outside museums to bring in objects and attain photo rights for the publication that will be released alongside the show opening.
Dressing with a Purpose: Belonging and Resistance in Scandinavia - Upcoming Exhibit June 2020
Dressing with a Purpose is a show that has involved a lot of new accessioned objects and loans to the museum. I have been working with Carrie Hertz, Curator of Textiles and Dress, on this project over the last several months. During this process, I have cataloged all new incoming objects for the show, object photography, and organizing and identifying photos for use in the book that will be published in conjunction with the show. I have also helped with pulling together the glossary and minor editing for this upcoming publication.
