I am medical interpreter / freelance photographer. As an interpreter I work closely with patients and doctors to bridge the language gap and cultural barrier between Spanish and English. Cover medical appointments at hospitals and medical offices to provide interpretations between patients and doctors, psychologist, nurses, receptionists, etc..
As a photographer I work closely with private clients to achieve a desired look. Document weddings. Capture Graduation pictures.
I volunteer for one full week at an elementary school for children at risk, with disability and or rejected from public schools. While traveling through Peru?, I spent one week to aid teachers in their daily routines, teaching elementary Spanish and simply being present for additional support. The school promoted the idea of bringing in foreign volunteers as a way for the marginalized students to have direct access to the foreign world and in the process instilling in them a since of pride of being Peruvian.
