Development of Sunflower Technology with a Passive Solar Tracker | CU Sep 2019 - Dec 2019
• Design a passive solar tracker system by utilizing active thermal rods and gear system
• Build an actual prototype in the Carleton laboratory to test the mechanism and improve its reliability
• Improve the system’s stability through numerical analysis and adjusting the model in the Carleton lab
Sustainable Microalgae Carbon Reduction Separable System | NCKU Mar 2018 - May 2018
• Addressed with climate change issues by designing a sustainable modular system which can utilize the
effect of photosynthesis in microalgae to consolidate CO2 effectively, and can be easily maintained
• Conceptualized a system which can coexist with the urban environment, and produce additional benefits
for human society by serving as decoration, providing light, and even be considered as renewable energy
• Analyzed and improved the efficiency and reliability of the system through several different experiments
Sustainable Automatic Trash-Collecting Floating Eco-Island | NCKU Feb 2017 - Feb 2018
• Created a floating architecture to extract suspended trashes from water by utilizing vortex centrifugal
delamination, and built a prototype of the vortex machine to experiment and enhanced its efficiency
• Invented an automatic controlling system to dump the garbage collected by the machine
• Estimated the system’s floating stability by building miniatures to experiment in the fluid mechanics lab
Ecological Water Storage Bridge System | NCKU Feb 2015 - July 2015
• Designed an innovative floating bridge system whose abutment may store and purify at least 441.8 m3
rainwater in the bottom pile each year to mitigate the water shortage problem in Tainan, Taiwan
• Integrated the fragmentary waned fish farms which engendered sanitary problems into a cohesive wetland,
therefore soothed the local environmental crisis, and boost the community development
